SPECIAL NEED EDUCATION

At Al Murooj Private School we believe that all students are entitled to an education that will enable to reach their full potential.

Our aim, in compliance with ADEC’s vision, is to offer a fully inclusive educational set up. All students have individual and unique needs which put personalized learning at the heart of our teaching and learning.

We believe that every student has the right to an education that both challenges and stimulates them, and which nurtures their growth intellectually, spiritually, creativity, physically and socially.

Al Murooj Scientific Private School is fully committed to providing a sufficiently challenging curriculum for all of its students.

In addition we will provide opportunities to identify and nurture those who are deemed as having an additional learning need.

DEFINITIONS

Students have special educational needs if they have a learning difficulty that calls for special educational provision to be made for them. They have a learning difficulty if they:

  1. Have a significantly greater difficulty in learning than the majority of students their age.
  2. Have a disability that prevents or hinders them from making use of educational facilities of a king generally provided for students of the same age.
  3. Are under compulsory school age and fall within the definitions above or would do so if special educational provision was not made for them.
